Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Even after years of bettting and trading I still make
mistakes.
Take yesterday. I always place the Millionaire bets first
thing in the morning when I am adding them to this email, so I know they are
done and out the way.
I had a feeling I had done something wrong but I
couldn't quite recall what and so after telling myself I would check over my
bets later, events over took me and I didn't.
To my surprise when I went
into my Millionaire betfair test account knowing that Chief Yeoman had lost, I
was very suprised to find a lot more money than I was expecting in the account.
I had won on the Double selection, I knew that, so what had happened, you guest
it. I layed Chief Yeoman instead of backed!
I wonder if that was just
sixth sense?
I doubt it, just a silly mistake that paid off. I suppose
my excuse would be that I place so many selections during the course of a day's
betting and trading that I am bound to make mistakes, that's why I like using
the Grey Horse
bot as much as I can.
I don't like making mistakes though because I
should know better.
I wondered if some of you who have the Grey Horse
bot would like to try a little experiment today. You will need version 1.0.0.5
to take part which is the latest version in the members area.
Below is a
link to the session.xml file which can replace the one in your Grey horse
folder in the folder called "Persistance".
If you right click on the
link below and then choose "Save As" you can save it over the one you already
have.

Once
you have done this then open and log in to your Grey Horse bot and then go to
"action" >"Session" >"load" (instructions for doing this are in the user
manual), you will now have all the Greyhound selections (8) without the (*)
selections which I do not include in level staking.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system, I am not using these now.
You can see
all the results since the 14th (when I introduced the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.

10. John's Bullitin lay tips - Lay
Selections started 12/01/2007
These are New selections from John at
Luv2Lose. John takes the prices of the selections 30 seconds before the race
and the lay price must be between 2.1 and 3.9, at this time to qualify. The
idea here is to Stop at the first winner (or loser in this case as we are
laying).
John also has a couple of other staking ideas which I will tell you
about later.
