Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I have been telling you about an experiment I had been
doing with GHB on
the new weight of money option that we have put in the 2.0.1.7 beta
version.

Yesterday
was a winner on the first race again which took me over my Stop profit, so
another easy day.
This is getting to be a bit to easy, but I am sure
there will be some hard days ahead!
There are quite a few of us trying
out different scenario's in the
GHB forum so I
wonder with lots of backing (some are laying) similar selections what it will
do to the prices. At the moment I think most of us are testing with under
£2 stakes so I shouldn't think it will make a great deal of difference at
the moment, but with only around £6000 to £7000 being matched on
Greyhound races and most of this going on the top 3 in the betting, it probably
wouldn't take hugh stakes to make a difference.
I actually think that
what will happen is that depending on our TTS settings (time before the off on
GHB) we may end up
getting different selections, but as we will betting on many races sooner or
later we should get the winners needed to make profit.
This is one of
those experiments I really love
testing.

With the new year well underway the wise punter turns his
attention to Cheltenham with a view to getting some value from a big priced
selection. Come the day there will be little that is unknown about the
contenders and we can expect the markets to have the races efficiently priced
up.
But backing a few big priced selections now is a different matter,
there is no feeling in the world that is better than holding a bet at 33/1 + on
a horse that is now trading at less than 10/1, or if you prefer your profits
locked in an all green screen on Betfair as a result of laying off your
speculative ante post bet.
This years Champion Hurdle doesn't look like
a high quality affair and this is just the type of race where we might be able
to lock in a big profit. One horse that might get us some each way value is
Ebazyiyan at 33/1.
Of course with any ante post bet you are taking the
risk that the horse will line up on the day but that is the nature of the bet.
