Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
The Greyhound (*) selections are certainly not playing
ball at the moment with another loser on the first selection yesterday. The
other selections are doing better, level stakes had another (if not small)
winning day, as did the "Rule of 3".
As many of you know my feelings are
that we should leave out the (*) selections and I think overall we maybe doing
better without them.
We started adding some new features to the
Grey Horse bot
yesterday, this time we are looking at the "auto" side of things and have added
the options to choose minimum or maximum amount of runners in the race. We have
are also adding in a place option, to only bet when it is either 2, 3 or 4
place market.
We think these new options will give users the chance to
get more from the auto side of the bot.
I for one don't normally like
laying if there are less than 8 runners in a race so I can now start looking at
some new auto betting ideas on the horse racing side of things.
I wonder
how the place system would work if you set it up to only bet on 8 runner 3
place races where the odds trigger range was between 2.00 and 3.00, 60 seconds
before the off.
You could stop at the first winner or just do level
stakes.
These new options will be available as beta in the next few days
when we have chance to test them a bit more.
I got to give it to Jim
this month with The
Golden Egg lay service. He said at the beginning of the month, that he had
made some improvements to the way he selected runners and it is certainly
showing at the moment.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system, I am not using these now.
You can see
all the results since the 14th (when I introduced the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.

idea here is to Stop at the first winner (or loser in this case as we are
