Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I will be glad when November is over and we can start
looking at form with a bit more certainty. A number of my systems have taken a
nose dive this month, not that it has hurt me a great deal because I am either
using very limited stakes or not betting at all.
We followed
Fancy Fillies for quite a while in this news letter, but I
stopped at the beginning of the month and I am pleased I did, because November
has been difficult for this system.
I always tell people that you can
not judge a system at this time of year because most work on the basis that you
can judge roughly how a horse will run in a resonably predictable
field.
When we are at the change of a season there is a lot of
unpredictable form about, so it stands to reason that a fixed system probably
wont cope very well.
I am not saying every system will perform badly but
I suspect you will find that many system, will not perform as
expected.
The problem I find is that people are always ready to throw
systems away because they think they don't perform but if they had the patience
to go into paper trading mode, they may find with in a few weeks they are
pleasantly surprised.
There is no doubt this month is going to give you
some upsets but that is just part of the "Game", just like any other sport
there are times when predicting, seems more difficult than normal and the
amount of times you get it wrong seems to go up.
