Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I thought I would start a new idea. I am going to find
systems on the net and will ask you and the other readers if you have tried it.
Thinking about it would be a good idea to put a vote or comments page
up somewhere so, I will work on that over the next couple of
days.

I feel a bit embarrassed about this, I am trying to show you
that there is value in high priced lays, but the latest system we are trying
keeps losing!
It just goes to show you though why we spend so much time
testing and how important this is.
I am going to leave high priced lays
for a while because I want to open a new subject.
Disparity:
This
is subject I have emails about from time to time and I wonder how many people
use it, when making a betting decision?
Disparity in betting is
basically the difference between the odds of your selection and the other
runners.
The thinking behind this is that if you are betting on the
favourite to win then you would probably feel better if the price disparity
from the next runner, was quite high because this confirms everyone is agreeing
with you.
If you are laying the favourite then you would prefer it if
the price disparity was very small from the other runners.
Lets have a
look at a couple of examples.
15:20, Catterick, Toy Top who is trading
at 2.54 and his nearest rival is Blackheath with a price of 8.8 which is a
disparity of 6.34, so if you are backing Toy Top then you would be quite happy
about it.
15.00 Ayr, Another Genepi is trading at 5.8 but the first 4
runners are all within a 3. So you would probably be a little worried about
backing Another Genepi.
The best time to judge disparity is nearer to
the off as this will give you the best indication of the actual true feelings
of the betting public as a whole.
