Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
We have been talking about
Ultratrader the last few days and betting on the Betfair
games market. One thing I find a little strange is that I can run an idea on
Turbo Poker that seems to work, but when I try to run it on Standard Poker I
get a different results.
You would think that the results should be the
same but would just take longer to achieve on standard poker, it doesn't seem
to be the case.
So it is worth keeping this in mind when testing ideas.
Both the Greyhound Selections(8) and the Place trial won on the first
race yesterday.

I don't know if you
noticed but I put my bet value up to £3.00 on the Greyhound Selections. I
just thought after the last losing day (22nd) it was worth playing with a
couple of staking ideas. I lost £16.46 on that day and have so far had 4
winning days at £3.00. A couple of more and I will be back in
profit.
The next time I lose I think I may experiment further and divide
the losses by 4 creating my new stake. In this case it would have been around
£4.00 and I would have made back my losses yesterday.
As I am
always saying you have to keep testing and trying new ideas until you find
something that works and you can use.
I have been testing a lot of
different ideas with the
Golden Egg Lay
selections because these have a lot of potential for profit. James has his own
ideas regarding his cut of price but I don't leave someone else to make my
decisions regarding what prices to take. There is no doubt there is profit to
been had from these tips and my goal is to squeeze as much from them as I
can.
Roy's
Staking Plan has some great ideas and he even showed how he tripled (yes
tripled) the profit from the
Golden Egg
Lay.
You have to keep an open mind when you are looking at results
and ask yourself "is there is room for improvement", I normally find there is.
It pretty easy when you are using selections from a service like the
Golden Egg Lay.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay
System started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I
have decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I
think I have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I
suspect there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what
that will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort
to record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks
(*) are from the original and tighter system, I am not using these
now.
You can see all the results since the 14th (when I introduced
the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any losses.

is always the best priced horse (lay side) after the favourite.
Our stake

could do this how you want but we suggest you put slightly more on the lay to
cover any loses on the back.
