Yesterdays Results
Shaunas Vision (Miracle System) came 1st, Jupsala (Best Lay bet of
the Day) came 10th.

Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Sedgefield was not a great meeting for laying favourites yesterday and
just goes to show, how difficult things can be at the start of the season.
You don't have to worry to much though because it is unlikely to continue
and in fact if you look at the fate of favourites (according to Adrian's
site, http://www.adrianmassey.com/flfav/index.htm) over a 14 year period
flat favourites come out at only a 33% success rate compared to jump
favourites at 38%.
Beware of the 2yo though as this is higher at 39%
So yesterday was above the norm but not unusual at this time of year
when any past form may make a difference, as the runners (many coming of
AW) try to find their legs on the grass.
You may have heard me say in the past that shouldn't mix AW and flat
form it just doesn't work, but I have noticed that sometimes horses
coming of AW onto grass fair better, than the other way around.
I could be wrong, it just seems that way to me sometimes!

Ouch a couple of bad losers on the flat yesterday both at 11/2, I hope
the flat is not going to give us simlar results to AW.
