Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
"Millionaires's Row" lost yesterday and what a shame
because Buckland Gold was second and if it hadn't been for Sir Jimmy Shand just
leaving them all behind then it would have been a big payday.
Something
else that is starting to show up though is the number of times the selections
are placing and this may be something we can look at over the next few
weeks.
I seem to be talking about the place market quite a bit lately
but you always find, that if you stick with one thing for a while you can learn
a lot about it and you can either find a good system from your research, or at
the very least reject the idea altogether.
One thing for sure is the
more you do concentrate on a particular subject the more opportunities present
themselves. We have found this since we started the subject.
We went
from place using the Miracle System and we tried and rejected a lay place
system. Then I came up with the latest place system we are trying at the moment
and now we are even looking at the Millionaire Selections as possible place
tips.
It's a shame they don't do a place market on the
greyhounds!
For those of you who are interested in trading I came across
a new guide yesterday called
The

I haven't managed to read all of it yet but what I am
really interested in is that one of the ebooks is all about trading on
greyhounds. Now I thought this was going to be impossible so I can not wait to
try out this idea.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system.

I think I am going to name this
system the "rule of 3" or something similar because I think that we if went for
3 wins a day with a 3 race scratch back staking plan we could be fine. The
problem is it gets a bit risky when we have two losers in a row like today and
I wonder if we may just have to increase the odds we are prepared to take
slightly.
Sensibly you should go for 1 pt profit a day but I think there
could be a case made for 2 or 3.
But remember if you went for 1pt a day
you could possibly do it at level stakes and even if you could only bet 20 days
a month that is still a nice little profit.
