Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
The Miracle system let us down yesterday, but we have had a good run
lately so it should be expected.
Staking continued

The last thing to mention about staking with lays is how to grow your
bank in a consistent manner, so that you are continually improving your
situation.
The ideal scenario is to grow your bank, while at the same time you
decrease the percentage size of your stake to your bank.
As you will already know I advocate using 0.5 to 2% of your bank as your
stake this means of course that every time your bank increases so does
your stake, but you may want to be a little more pruden, it will mean
growing your bank slower, but it will mean the losers wouldn’t hurt so
much!
There are a couple of ways you can do this.
Firstly instead of staking 1% of your bank on every race, start at the
beginning of the week or month and work out your 1% stake, then stick
to that stake all the way through the week or month.
As long as you are getting the winners then your bank will be increasing
all the time but your stake will be the same, of course this gets better
the further into the week or month you get as the percentage of your
stake to bank decreases.
This is a short term idea that will reset itself the next week or month.
A better scenario is to put aside some of your winnings, into your
losers pot.
How much you decide to put in this pot is left up to you, but I often
but up to half my winnings in there, again my bank isn’t growing as
quick but I am building up a reserve bank. If I feel that two losers in
a row was just darned bad luck, I can use my loser’s pot to back me up
on the 3rd if I felt it is worth the risk.
Laying is the probably the best investment (risky) there is, but to pull
it off and to make long term gains, is all the easier when you have a
reserve bank that has enough to back you up when you need it.
Again as I have said you will go through bad times with laying but there
are always good runs, I know from experience that even my best lay
systems suddenly have a bad run of 2 maybe even 3, but then they go
on to have a winning runs of 5, 9 or even 15!
