28th March
2008 Todays ramblings Good Morning.
Firstly I am really sorry but there will be
no tips on Monday.
This weekend I am really excited because I am
meeting family we haven't seen for a while and we are having our Twin nieces to
stay, and they are great fun.
There is no GP to distract me, so they
will get my full attention!
I will have to probably take them ice
skating because we always end up having a laugh at the rink.
Anyway they
are staying until Monday, so I am going to have Monday off to be with them
also.
---------------
Darren (Betting
School) was talking about "Stop at a Winner" yesterday and why they think
most people fail at this. I have to agree discipline is the real problem with
this form of betting and knowing when to stop.
I know I have been over
this before, but I find it quite an interesting subject and I think a lot of
people try it and then give up quite quickly, because they don't prepare, when
if they did plan before they started, it would save them a lot of grief
later.
The first thing you must get into your head is "Stop at a
Winner".
The second thing is that you must have a stop loss in place,
that lets you fight another day.
"Stop at a winner" systems generally
run a staking ladder to get back any losses and it is here, where you have to
decide what your maximum loss will be, before you revert back to normal stakes
and how are you are going to run the ladder.
Most people will run the
staking on several selections a day, very much like I am on the new greyhound
lay system we are testing. But if you feel your results show that you can
normally win on the first race you may just run it on one race daily.
I
always think "Stop at a winner" systems work better with lay bets than they do
win tips, which makes it more important to do your research, create your plan
and then make sure you stick to it.
The greyhounds lays we are testing
at the moment are a good example of a possible "Stop at a Winner" system
running a staking plan.

Remember we didn't start using the 6.00 maximum until the
19/03.
Using just the first selection each day would not have proved to
be profitable, level stakes under 6 has been so far I think but not by a great
deal, and if you run a staking plan an stop at the first winner, that would be
profitable as well.
All I am waiting to see is loses in a row and the
best way to deal with them. So far since betting under 6 we haven't had more
than 1 loser at a time, but we know it will happen, so we have to use a part of
our daily winnings to deal with this.
More about this on Tuesday, until
then have a great weekend.

----------------- New Greyhound Lay system I had come up with. http://www.horseracingsystemsuk.com/12-03-2008.htm
After
some thought I think that the only way to run this system is as a "Stop in
Profit". I am going to keep the maximum odds set to 6.00 and I am going to be a
little naughty and add in a lay ladder staking plan.
Another full
winning day yesterday at under 6.00. You can see why I now decided this was a
better lay system that back. It's actually starting to get quite
good.
