Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
"Millionaires's Row"
won again on Friday and although La Estrella came in at 11/4 he was at 6/1 on
the exchanges in the morning. The tip also won on Saturday but you don't get to
see them, so I can not add these to the results.
I haven't mentioned
Nags to Riches for a
while so I thought I would give you an update on this lay service. The main
system is presently on a winning run of 16 and only 1 loser in the last 31
selections.
Since the 03/04/2006 we have had 151 selections and lost on
14 of them giving a strike rate of 91%. Average price has been 8.28 and so far
we lose once every 10.8 selections so I think we can safely say at the moment
that these selections are making profit at level stakes.
The new system
since 04/07/2006 has had 98 selections and we have lost on 17 giving a strike
rate of 83%. Average price is 5.53 and we so far we are showing a loss every
5.76 selections. So again there is a level stakes profit, although not as high
as I would have liked and this selection did have 3 losers in a row, which
isn't that inviting.
The original system still seems to performing as
well as it did during it's testing in this news letter and although I show the
results using the staking plan, it is quite obvious that if you can get the
same or better prices as I am recording, then it should be a straight forward
level stakes profit tip.
This is in fact what I would class as an
investment selection. You should be able to (as long as the selections continue
to perform as they have up to now) just lay each selections and watch your bank
gradually build over time.
The new system is a little more difficult and
although you should just about make money at level stakes, it will be a much
slower process. A staking plan could help but with 3 losers in a row lurking in
the results, there are some dangers.
What's interesting to me is that I
have created one system and then slightly changed it for the new system and the
difference in price and performance is very different.
I wonder if
Roy's Staking
Plan would have something that would help bring out the best in this
system, I shall have to have a look.

After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system.
