Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I haven't decided what I am going to do this
weekend although I am thinking of getting my dinghy ready for sale. Although I
love sailing I am having a lot of trouble finding the time to go so instead of
leaving the poor boat under cover for months at a time I think I will give
someone else the chance to own it.
I was hoping to try the
Voodoo system system out yesterday and although I tried it
once (successfully) we had some problems with out intranet and so I couldn't
try it the rest of the day, but I am hoping I can have another go
today.
Still the one chance I did have to try it was with out new
trading software which worked fine, so I am eager to do some more testing with
it.
I was looking at someone else's results on this system this morning
and I must admit they make it look good, lets see if I get similar
results.
Don't forget you need to be able to bet all day to use this
system.

----------------------------- Nat
from TSF
e-zine.
Hi I've given you quite a few basic strategies over the
last few weeks and mentioned some of the psychological aspects of trading that
you have to consider (how the way you think can have an affect on your
results).
This week I would like to talk a little bit about the tools
of the trade. Last week I started to utilise the chatroom facility that
accompanies the tsf
private forum. Basically the idea is that whilst I'm trading I can relay
information to subscribers that are in the room offering them tips and ideas on
ways they can improve their results. Eventually I may get started a fully
functional on line trading room so that my subscribers can all see and hear
exactly what I'm doing and help each other along the way, it's proving to be a
very popular feature!
Whilst chatting in the room it has amazed me to
find out the number of traders out there that are not using the right tools! So
I thought I would list some of the basic elements that you need.
- A fast one click trading
application is a must for most types of trading especially if you intend
scalping the markets.
- Live pictures are also
important if you are going to attempt to get involved in tennis trading for
instance and can be helpful if you are trading football, cricket, rugby etc,etc
- A fast broadband connection,
if you have not got one already.
- Although not essential it is
helpful if you have two screens, if you intend to trade in more than one event
at a time. (I actually use three on occasions)
- Always keep a copy of
betfair's phone number near by and your account details. However unlikely
things can go wrong, broadband connections do go down and hard drives do fail.
Particularly when you scalping you are dealing with a high percentage of your
bank and you don't want to get caught out leaving yourself with a large
liability.
If you have not already
considered the items above I would urge you to do so. They don't have to cost
you much, you can get a basic one click application quite cheap, may not have
all the bells and whistles of some of the high tech bits of kit out there now,
but it will be good enough to get started with. If you don't want to invest in
a second monitor then stick to one event at a time. (It's probably better that
you do that anyway when you first start out). If you don't have one of the many
sports packages available on the digital platform, then you can stick to events
that are televised on terrestrial television.
You may have heard of the
phrase 'A bad workmen always blames his tools' that is very apt here! If you
have not got the right tools and you fail to make your trading pay the only
person you can blame is yourself!
Next week I hope to be talking about
staking, how I believe you should be staking and why.
Mal- Thanks as
always Nat and watch this space for our one click trading
application!
