Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
On time this morning the hospital rang us up yesterday
and rescheduled my wife's appointment for next week.
We haven't had one
win from the greyhound selections I started posting a couple of day's ago. I am
a little surprised by this but that is what testing is for and it shows you can
be very wrong sometimes.
So what I thought was that we will just carry
on until Friday and if there is still no improvement, next week I will change
the selections to a lay system I have been testing.
3 meetings today. 2
jumps from Stratford and Taunton and an AW (all weather) from
Lingfield.
This is the part of the season that it can start to get
tricky these are things you should look out for.
Horses going from flat
to jump, especially for the first time.
Horses running on AW for the first
time.
Horses running fresh after resting over the flat season.
The
above can actually work for or against and should be thought about at any time,
but they are always more prominent at the cross over part of the
season.
I have said before that I have some friends who actually stop
betting this time of year but I tend to just cut my stakes right down and
concentrate more on other sports, although with all the live testing I am doing
with various software and systems at the moment, I am not sure how some of my
banks will be affected.
Yesterday I took a big hit on the in running bot
I have been testing ( I was a little over optimistic with the settings) but it
didn't wipe out all the profit from the day before, but by tweaking the
settings I managed to get it almost all back, so that turned out
ok.
Anyway my message is always the time at season changes - please be
careful for the next month.
