Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I am very sorry this is so late.
I wanted to start
sharing with you some lay's David and I have come up with. Again?
I hear
you say.
Well yes we are always experimenting with ideas and we have
been trying to come up with a system that could replace the
Almost certain
nap selections.
Don't get me wrong I think this service is good and
provides plenty of winners but as you probably know the prices can be very high
and sometimes just plain silly.
So with David's help we have been
experimenting for sometime with a few ideas, some haven't worked out (as you
may know) but one of two have done quite well.
What we have tried to do
is come up with a selection process that gives more than 1 selection a day and
although not all of them will be in your particular price range at least 1
should and normally all should be below 30, but we have still seen some go a
lot higher.
Up to now we have been getting anywhere from 1 and 10
selections a day with an average of around 3.
As an
example...
Yesterday

We also have a no bet rule if any of the significant runners are
NR's this will normally be any runner that has 10% or more reduction factor on
betfair.
We have also been thinking about a bank plan. Now up to now
with a few months back data we have only had one loser at about 6.5, so we have
had no reason to introduce a staking plan especially with so many winning
selections a day. But as you probably know when you start showing selections
everything starts to go a bit strange.
I thought lets take a bank of
£300 and split it into 5 which gives us 5 pots of £60. We are going
to lay at a maximum of 30.00 with our maximum liability being 1 pot of
£60.00
So if the odds were 30 our lay bet would be £2.00
(60/30).
As I have said we have 5 pots and our goal is to create a new
pot of £60 which we make from our winnings.
Our two selections
today are at 13.5 and 7.8 (at about 11am) so 60/12.5 (13.5 -1) gives a stake of
£4.80 and 60/6.8 (7.8-1) gives a stake of 8.82. If we win on both our new
pot will contain...
4.80 + 8.82 - 5% (betfair commission) =
12.93
If and when our pot reaches £60 then we can decide to either
take it out or split the pot between the other pots which increases the value
of each.
This is just and idea, let' see how it goes. If I made a
mistake with the maths please let me know. It has been a bit of a rush this
morning.
