Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Well yesterday wasn't a good start to my first day back, both tips lost
and I added the wrong Laying for profit tips.
Oh well better luck today!
Every so often I empty my Betfair account to do a staking test. About
3 weeks ago I did this and left just £35.00 in there and I wanted to
see how long it would take me to get up to £200.
Because the minimum bet on Betfair is £2.00 and I am laying it doesn't
give me a great deal of movement.
At the start of play yesterday I was up to £125.00 and I won on the
first Stop at a winner tip.
Now with a small bank like this I should have been happy and called
it a day especially as the V4 selection was a bit risky, compared to
the other two choices that were trading quite high!
But as with all test you have to take some risk and I lost.
Now I am also following my Investment system selections which really
need a staking plan to be successful with, but again yesterday I
was caught out by 2 losers which hurt my dwindling bank even more.
Finally I made the cardinal sin, in an effort to win back some of the
bank I had lost, I laid a selection that I am just testing and you can
guess what happened...Yep I lost again!
My bank halved in one day just because I left my head in bed!
Losing isn't the point here, that happens, my biggest mistake was
chasing the winners. I should have realised early on things were not
going to go to plan and then stopped. There is always another day with
horse racing and with the bank I am testing with, there isn't any room
for silly behaviour.
Luckily there is a lot of tennis going on at the moment so I used
Bet-pal to get some back!
Tomorrow I want to discuss bank sizes.
