Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I have been talking about Greyhounds a lot later because
at the moment I have some weird fascination with them, well in fact they have
always intrigued me because I think they represent a great opportunity to just
"sneak in" make some profit and "sneak out" again. They are good for us as well
because they give us plenty of races to test the
GHB on throughout
the day.
Yesterday I was (and have nearly finished) adapting a
spreadsheet for GHB
that will use a staking plan for so long, but then revert back to normal
staking if a maximum stop loss has been reached. I was testing it by backing
favourites and I had a good run of winners over the course of a few hours of
tweaking the spreadsheet to get it to work the way I wanted it to.
I
think the problem with Greyhounds (and I am probably guilty of this myself) is
that because there are so many races you just don't want to
stop!
Because of this I think you have to find a level of profit that
will satisfy your needs (within reason) while allowing you stop as soon as
possible.
As you can see from the "New Greyhound Lay system" we have
been testing in the news letter there have been plenty of days where we could
have stopped early and safely taken a profit, before hitting a bad run.
I tend to think, 3 times your stake or 3 winners in a row is a good
place to start if you "lay" and I 5 should be your maximum. I also think if you
are backing you may want to stop at the first win.

some thought I think that the only way to run this system is as a "Stop in
Profit". I am going to keep the maximum odds set to 6.00 and I am going to be a
little naughty and add in a lay ladder staking plan.
