Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Yesterday I was looking at the statistics for this daily email. How many
people I send it to the number of people who open it, the number of bounces
etc.
Now I never like to tell anyone exactly how many people I send this
email out to but I can tell you it is many many 1000's, after all I have been
publishing it for quite a few years.
Being a sports type newsletter I
get my fair share of spam complaints (even though I use double opt-in) and
often have trouble delivering the emails to people which actually hurts more
than I thought it would.
If you take all the above into consideration it
is not surprising that some days I have a 10% or less open rate!
I
understand that people don't always read all their emails and because of
holidays or change in circumstances then many will miss some of them but when
90% of the emails you send out are not read that get's a little worrying,
especially as I have to pay for securely hosting my list which has just gone up
again.
Now I could ask everyone who is interested to add themselves to a
new list and start again but I feel that would be a short term solution or I
could find another way of delivering the daily tips like using a blog or
something similar or just do a video message and put it on-line in fact there
are probably a number of other internet mediums I could use as well.
I
haven't decided what to do at the moment but if you have a suggestion then
please let me know.
I suppose the question to ask is?
Are my
daily tips worth anything to you?
Would you be prepared to pay 50p a day
for getting the information I provide if I went more in depth and really dug
down to the nitty gritty of systems and creating your own?
I don't know.
Is that worth something?
Just give me some feedback so I can at least
know what you, as a loyal reader and one of the 10% wants from me!

The idea is really to select "one a day" to
lay bet (http://www.laybetting.com/) on betfair or
betdaq, which should be the shortest price. David has set a maximum price limit
of 12/1 or 13 on betfair. The main rule (and one we have started to use across
a number of our systems) is that you should not bet if the reduction factor for
the race is 10% or more.
