Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Some of you may
not have got this email yesterday, my main server was playing up and so was not

We
are going to start including the Millionaire Double Take selections from today.
These are the selections which we have been talking about the last few day's,
where we back the favourite and then lay a second horse in the same
race.
Me and my friend have decided to split the stake 60/40. 60 goes on
the lay and 40 goes on the back. Our reasoning is that we will probably have a
higher success rate on the lay so even if the favourite doesn't win, as long as
the lay is succesfull it will cover our loses.
We are hoping that just
because the favourite doesn't win the race it wont mean our second favourite
will either.
We are picking selections where the favourite has a very
high probability of winning and then laying the next best priced horse. The
proper way of making these bets would be to place them about 60 seconds before
the off then you can be sure of the second favourite. We are pretty sure in
most cases both horses wont change.
Time will tell!
I didn't get
chance to log all the Greyhound Selection (8) prices yesterday. I know I won on
the first selection but there were 4 losers quite close together and I am not
sure if they were all in the price range. If you are following the "rule of 3"
can you let me know yesterday's outcome.

used the staking plan with the place selections and was back into winning ways
on the 3rd race.
I did get an email yesterday telling me I had made a
mistake in the session.xml on Tuesday. There were 2 dogs with similar names and
I picked the wrong one. This is unusual as I normally go by trap number but
just in case, I would think it would be wise to check me.
The selections
in this email are always correct, if I make a mistake it will be in the
session.xml but I do try not to.

The concept is to always place 1 point to WIN and 2
points to PLACE on the same horse. So, there is a risk of always 3 points if
the horse does not place at least.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay
System started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I
have decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I
think I have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I
suspect there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what
that will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort
to record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks
(*) are from the original and tighter system, I am not using these
now.
You can see all the results since the 14th (when I introduced
the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any losses.

horse before the off.
We are hoping that most of the time the lay should not
change but if it does then it is always the best priced horse (lay side) after
the favourite.
Our stake will be £10 split 4.00 on the back and 6.00
on the lay. Of course you could do this how you want but we suggest you put
slightly more on the lay to cover any loses on the back.
