Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I have mentioned before that I think AW is a great place to specialise. I have
been playing with a back system idea myself for a while that is not going to
bad. As we have been talking about creating your own betting systems I thought
I would talk a little bit about how it came about.
Now I am not going to reveal
the complete details today because I have surprise coming up in a little while
so I want to wait until then but I will let you in on a couple of things that
surprised me, while I was going through the process.
Firstly whenever I start
looking at a system I leave out results from Saturday and Sunday because I
don’t bet on those days, but this system also showed (from back testing)
that it was profitable Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but made a loss on
Thursday and Friday.
Now I am still looking at that,
but isn’t it strange!
But I love the idea of just
finding races for 3 days making up to 10% return on my money and then having
the rest of the week off!
Yeah I know it isn’t that
simple but we can dream.
One other thing that was
interesting was that one AW course seemed to show nearly 5% profit than all the
others and this makes my point about specialising.
Now system testing is still in
it’s early days and I intend to run it through proform over the next few
days to see if the results seem to be the same.
The good thing also about
proform is that once you run the system it will find the selections for you in
the races for today. Proform is also adding a CSV output that you can use with
GHB.

The idea is really to select "one a day" to
lay bet (http://www.laybetting.com/) on betfair or
betdaq, which should be the shortest price. David has set a maximum price limit
of 12/1 or 13 on betfair. The main rule (and one we have started to use across
a number of our systems) is that you should not bet if the reduction factor for
the race is 10% or more.
