20th March
2008 Todays ramblings Good Morning.
4 days off for me and another F1 Grand
Prix weekend!
I know the weather forecast isn't great but I hope they
may be wrong because I have made plenty of plans for doing things in the garden
and going out.
I hope you have a good time as
well.
---------------- Gordon has been testing the
Frontlinelay method for me and tomorrow he sent me this
update. http://www.laybetting.com/go_frontlinelay.htm
"This most definitely a method that's takes some getting used to, even
today reading Russ's blog I have learnt something new.
Now I would
have to say that based on the daily selections I have been sending you, the
method to date has been quite disappointing, but it is not all bad news, far
from it!!
The daily selections I have been forwarding are simply the
nap selections based on the worst scoring selection, results for the period
25th Feb to 17th March as follows:
16 Selections 1 Meeting
abandoned 2 Non runners 2 Odds too high (both lost) 11 Qualifying
runners 4 Winning selections (losing bets)
This gives a poor SR of
63.6%, or 69.2% if we include the 2 high odds losers.
Interestingly 3
of the 4 winners were on the AW at Wolverhampton.
Now for the good
news.
As well as the lowest scoring selections, I have also been
monitoring the selections with the biggest gap between the lowest and the
highest scoring selections in the same race. The results for the same period
are as follows:
16 Selections 3 Non runners 13 Qualifying
runners 1 Winning selection (losing bet) This gives a SR of
92.3%
Even better is that the odds of the winner were 7/2, and the odds
of the losers were 3/1, 15/8, 2/1, 10/3, 2/1, 9/4, 5/2, 5/2, 13/8, 11/4, 11/4,
10/3, all odds are SP.
Reading the blog today, Russ explains that he
looks for races with 2 selections with good + scores going against the poor
score of the possible lay selection. This is more in line with what I have been
doing with selections with the biggest gap.
Although we are only
looking at 16 days results, going with the biggest gap selections is very
impressive, particularly given the relatively low odds of the selections.
I was also hoping that the rating method would possibly highlight
winning selections as well, but that has proved not to be the case.
The method can however be used, I believe, quite effectively to rate individual
races for those people who would like more action than just 1 bet per day.
Based on the above I am giving the Frontline method a big thumbs up!!
Cheers, Gordon" http://www.laybetting.com/go_frontlinelay.htm
Thanks
for your help Gordon.
I know Ross is making a big effort to help
everyone who has purchased this product and if you have a look at his blog. (go
to http://www.laybetting.com/go_frontlinelay.htm /choose proof
testimonials and at the bottom of the page is a link to his blog) you will see
he is very approachable. http://www.laybetting.com/go_frontlinelay.htm ----------------- It
has not been a very good couple of days for my lays and with a loss on the new
lay test system before we had even got the first pot of the ground was a big
blow. But I am still confident in this system and I am going to carry on with
it.
David had quite a big loss as well, but he said he is still up, so
it wasn't all bad.
Lay test http://www.laybetting.com/2008-lay-test.htm
I have a
feeling we are going to have a few difficult days with very few races and as I
was saying above low quality. If you have decided to follow the selections then
please be a little careful with the stake size you are
using.

Bismarx(BVR)
As at 8 o'clock this morning
the following horses were identified as within Bismarx range. Watch for
market changes before the race. Exercise caution at odds over 2.8 or where
non-runner's have left less than 5 runner's in a race. Generally do not
lay when wide odds disparity (3.0+) has emerged between the Favourite and the
other runner's. Quit when your profit target has been reached. Prepare for
liability in advance - always plan your next move first.
