Todays ramblings
Good morning.
I was expecting the Bismarx this morning when I remembered that Jon was
on holiday, He did ask me to tell you this last Friday!
Anyway Jon's on holiday and will be back Mon 24th when Bismarx will
resume.

The new Lay Place system I am working on came in 9th yesterday, that
makes 1 loss in 6 bet's, which is getting even better.

A question I keep getting asked is.
"What are the highest odds I am prepared to lay at?"
I must admit that I tend to dodge the question because:
A. I wouldn't want people to think I am insane,
B. There is no simple answer.
Ok you pretty much know I am insane, who else would get up every morning
put a bunch of tips in an email for nothing aonly to get nasty emails if
I get it wrong?
The reason it is not simple is because I will accept different liabilities
on different tips, but that liability will depend on how well my day is
going (or Not).
I spend about an hour in the morning, sorting out all my potential lays,
bets and trades.
I don't bet so much now but I do have my favourites that I keep running
on a staking plan.

What happens next will depend on my day.
If I am going out I will pick maybe 1 or 2 of these tips and lay them at
just about any price (a chance I know, but it will be nowhere near what I
risk on a normal days racing!)
If I am going to be able to spend the day by the computer then I will
put everything in time order, I may also get ready to run a lay ladder.
I will probably drop my lay liability level down as well but I will be
looking out for trading opportunities, which will also help dictate this
level.
See what I mean when I say there is a simple answer?
My maximum lay price depends on a lot of things that are personal to me,
so should yours.
I can not stress this enough, most people lose money betting because of
mistakes and this is normally caused by betting above their comfort
levels, mine is totally different to yours. Where I was once scared to
lay above 3/1, those days are now long gone.
That doesn't mean my way is correct, it just suits me!
