Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Just to let you know, I am probably going to have all
next week off from doing the morning email's. So my last selections will be
Friday (22nd) and I will resume on Tuesday the 2nd of January 2007.
If
you have a copy of my
Greyhound Timer, I will updating these, but only as often as
I can, but I would like to carry on the trial over the holidays because I am
enjoying watching the results, but it may not be everyday.
Anyway I will
remind you again on Friday.
I was thinking last night that the
selections from the
Sectional Timing Software would probably work well with the
new Grey Horse bot. I know it isn't the cheapest system around but now you can
just load the selections of your choice into the Grey Horse bot then it should
save you from having to watch all selections.

Yesterday
What I like at the moment is that you can
see that I am using the Grey Horse bot live and see how my test bank has been
increasing. I know sometimes I may test other ideas on the same bank and it
could have increased a little more than it would have normally, but I think
overall you can see it happening.
Yesterday was interesting because we
had two winners to start with, then the first loss, which wasn't that large so
it only took two of the 3 "scratch back" stakes to get us way into profit.
These are the types of situations that are hard to explain unless you see them
in real life for yourself.
When I first started showing you the daily
screenshots the test bank was at 63.38 (28/11/2006) and today (21 days later)
it stands at 187.92.
As I have said before, if I was being my normal
cautious self then I would be happy with 0.5% to1% a day. 3% a day in my book
is outstanding on one system. I normally only get that sort of return running 3
or 4 systems a day.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system.
You can see all the results since the
14th (when I introduced the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.
