Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I am not sure what is going on
with my new Grey horse Bot system test at the moment but it is certainly been a
struggle the last couple of days.
We actually did win yesterday
but because of a low price on the actual winner we didn't make much profit at
all. As usual you can see the screen shot on my GHB blog.

Although there have not been a
great deal of selections on my "Weird Lay System" test we are in profit at the
moment. We had a great win yesterday with NO SUPPER. Our liability would have
been less than our stake so of course our chances of losing the bet were a lot
higher so it was nice to see we would have won.
David's been updating the 1Xlay
results for me at the moment and I noticed he put the loser in that we had on
the 14th in as a "no bet". David has started to use the rule "10% or more
reduction, then a no bet" a lot more because he thinks it is prudent to use
it.
I agree with him that it is a
good rule, my only worry is that you must be consistent with it and what can
happen sometimes is that you notice when you lose that there has been a
significant NR but you don't pick up on it win you win!
I for one try to be accurate
with my results especially with lay bets because the liability of a loser can
make or break a system, so I am going to have to consider whether to change
that from a "no bet" to loss. Still this system has had very few losers so
far.
Someone emailed me the other day and mentioned that the "back test
system" seemed to be better as a lay system with the amount of losers it has. I
emailed back and said at the moment I would agree but the system does have some
good winning runs sometimes.
I then sat and had a thought about it
realised that the problem could be seasons. Although I haven't actually gone
back over the results, I think that this system works far better in the flat
season as a back system, but I think in the NH season it works better as a lay
system.
Maybe that is something we should
test!

I think I am going to call this the "Weird
Lay System". I will explain the reason for that another time!
Your be
pleased to know that my filter worked yesterday and we missed a 10/1 loser
which would have put us way into the red. I will make one point though that if
we had used all the selections we would have around the same bank even after
the loser.
