Good Morning.
Sorry there is no Bismarx today because there are not enough races meeting the criteria.
Well after losing my work yesterday time to catch up!
So how is our low priced lay system looking?

The settings are now
Make sure Clear Favourite is checked.
Select 2004, 2005, 2006
Race Type All National Hunt only and unselect:
Selling Hurdle
Novice Chase
Novice Handicap Chase
Starting Price check 1-2 to 10-11, Evens to 11-8, 6-4 to 15-8
Include List of Selections checked.
(As the maximum number of results you can show is 2000 and we still
have 2100 + then I would uncheck this feature for the moment.)
Max Number 2000
Include Breakdown of Results checked
Click Go
You should get
Bets 2147
Wins 881
Win Strike rate 41%
Which is slightly better than the original 42.2%
We took out the above race categories because they were all showing a
higher than average success rate as is Novice Hurdle, but it is
responsible for 775 of our selections so I am reluctant to lose it
at the moment.
We could try a quick experiment here.
Re run the filter page this time putting back in the above race types
and then take out Novice Hurdle.
Hmm
We now have
Bets 1884
Wins 769
Strike rate 40.8% slightly better.
Ok leave it like that at the moment and let’s look at some of the other
stats.
“Results broken down by Race Distance”
You can see that there is not a lot of differences here but it is
strange to see jump races under 2m and as anything over 3m1f has quite
a high strike rate, let’s go back and filter them out.
We are now under the 2000 mark so let’s add back in the “Include List
of Selections“
It hasn’t made a great difference but I think it reflects more
accurately the distances we will see daily.
One more test before we go on, put back in Novice Hurdle and take out
the other 3 again.
Now that’s interesting the strike rate has actually gone up to 41.8%
since we took at some of the distances, so lets adjust the selection
process to reflect this.
Make sure Clear Favourite is checked.

If you look at the “Results Broken Down by Month” table you will see
that in June to September the available bet’s go down, this of course
is because we are official out of the jump season at this time, so lets
see what happens when we take them out.

Strike rate 40.8% so slightly up.
If you carry on creating your own systems you will know it is all about
testing so now we must go back and put all the race types back in.
Back to 42.2%
Now take out:
Selling Hurdle
Novice Chase
Novice Handicap Chase
Down 41.5%
So I think again our best bet is to take out Novice Hurdles only.
So we now have

Uncheck June to September
Race Type All National Hunt only and unselect: Novice Hurdle
