Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I can not believe how quickly this week is going I had so much planned
but have got so little done!
We are launching
GHB v3.3 today which
has a couple of new features which you could find useful. One of the additions
is called "shadow" which is an auto feature that allows you to select runners
as a trigger, but won't bet on that runner.
So let's say you only wanted
to lay the favourite if the combined odds of the favourite and the second
favourite were less than 4.00. You select the favourite as the runner you want
to bet on but the second favourite as a "shadow" bet. If your criteria is met
then GHB will only
bet on the favourite. This feature allows you to use any combinations of
runners to create a betting scenario.
One other good feature we have
added is that you can now select runners by "Index" rather than just "rank".
Just in case you are unsure what this means, if you take horse racing on
Betfair most of the time the runners are listed in order of their price
(normally) so the favourite is at the top and the least favourite at the
bottom, we call this "rank" order. On Greyhounds though they are ordered by
their "trap" number. 1 is at the top and 6 is at the bottom.
Up until
now GHB used "rank"
only in auto mode but now you can order by index as well. This means that you
can now tell GHB to
bet on "trap 1"( index 1) only. Another use could be football, where the home
team is normally "index 1", the away team "index 2" and the Draw "index 3", you
could decide to back all index1 (home teams) under 2.00. I think you will agree
that this adds further flexibility to
GHB and the way it
can bet.
I am also sure that this will allow
GHB to work with a
number of systems that you couldn't previously use with it.

just 2 of the new features added in this version (there are more) and again we
have some great new ones planned for V3.4.
