Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I hope you had a good weekend.
Carrying on from
Friday
Ok Howard your correct, my system isn't good
enough and we did have our 3 losers in a row, actually it is one each because
using the "Rule of 3" staking system, we still won on the day.
I know
Howard isn't the type to gloat but he was correct and we must thank him for his
warning, but we must also remember that this is a test and so we need to see if
we can learn anything from it.
Well I think first thing is that out Stop
Loss Limit is set to high, because the 3 losers wouldn't have set it off today
and although we would have one back 2/3rds of our loses on the next two races
we would have lost on the 3rd race taking our loses way over our Stop loss
Limit.
I suggest we make it 25 x our stake, that should just be over the
2 losses in a row limit but certainly make sure we stop after the 3rd
loss.
Anyway at least we learned something even though the second half
of Fridays selections were pretty bad.
We now have to wait to see what
this weeks brings but just so you know our settings for today
are.
Stake: 2.12 x 3% = 2.18 (this will round up tomorrow)
Profit
Stop: 2.18 x 3 = 6.54 ( I am taken this down by a couple of pence to 6.52, it's
a bot thing!)
Stop loss: 2.18 x 25 = 54.50.
I will admit that I am
disappointed with the results Friday I thought I had a better system than that,
but I think another thing we have to think about is the (*) selections, they
represent 30% of our losses and are the reason for 3 in a row on
Friday.
Anyway we are still testing and although it was a bad run our
test is still winning.
So our settings today are:
2.12 x 3% =
2.18
Stop win: 2.18 x 3 = 6.54 (Take it down to 6.50)
Stop Loss: 2.18 x
25 = 54.50

You may have noticed that the latest version of Grey Horse bot
option screen above now has "Auto Select" and "Manual" select. This is in the
next release and now allows you to choose between, price range selections (As
in the original greyhound bot) and Manual runner selection. This has allowed us
to put the two different bots in to one.

on a little longer this morning, but something has come up and I have to go

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System

After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system.

14th (when I introduced the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.
