Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I meant to tell you earlier in
the week that there will be no more rambles until Tuesday because I am away for
a few days. I became a Great Uncle a few months ago and we are having a
Christening this weekend.

the article and have a think about the subject.
As the article mentioned there
are plenty of different sites offering ratings and some are better than others.
The Racing Post ratings are well respected and Adrian Masey has his own as
well.

You will also find that some of
the daily papers have their own. Formcast for the daily mail, Spotform in the
Mirror and Sunratings in the Sun paper. Who's are better I have no idea.
David swears by the Daily Mail,
lots of people quote the Racing Post and I know people who use the Sun!
The question is...What do you do
with them!
Well I don't think you can take
them on their own but rather use them as a starting place to find potential
winners or losers. It is probably a good idea to use at least two sources for
ratings. You could use the Racing Post and say a daily news paper and see where
they agree.
You can then take these
selections and see if they are well tipped by the rest of the Racing Post
tipsters. Your probably not going to get good prices but I think you should be
getting the point.
Anyway we can discuss this a bit
more when I get back on Tuesday.

The idea is really to select "one a day" to
lay bet (http://www.laybetting.com/) on betfair or
betdaq, which should be the shortest price. David has set a maximum price limit
of 12/1 or 13 on betfair. The main rule (and one we have started to use across
a number of our systems) is that you should not bet if the reduction factor for
the race is 10% or more.
