Here is your FREE tip for today.
"Weet An Haul" was second but 5L behind Blue Empire!
I had a record number of emails yesterday regarding Saturday racing
and I was quite surprised by the mixed response.
It was clear that many of you do not bet on Saturdays and one reader (Wendy)
even said that she had been told by a friendly bookie that "Saturdays was
almost always a punters graveyard".
But there were many of you that disagreed, and made the point that Saturday
just needed more work and concentration than week days because there were more
races and in a lot of cases more money.
So if you are winning in the week, you must be doing something different
to loose more often at the weekends.
I am not sure that the "against Saturday" people would agree with this view
as most of you would probably be using the same selection process, that you
use in the week.
Maybe that is the problem!
Most of us will be using systems that for better or worse will find us a
tip that is probably based on a favourite in the race, so maybe the
favourites in the week are more accurate than at the weekend.
We know this is certainly holds true for big money races where anything
can happen. If you remember Ascot week earlier this year, it was nearly two days
before a favourite won.
I think I have just scored a home run for those of you who dislike betting on
favourites but maybe only for Saturday!
The idea of the exercise was to find out if I stop giving out tips on
Saturday, I think for the moment I will continue, but now let's talk about
Tuesdays....
Please keep your comments coming.
One email I received read "When you look at the runners in a race, and just
one horse JUMPS at you, you know you've got it" (thanks Thomas)
I was looking at 1.40 Bangor when "Chicuelo" jumped out at me, why?
Umm well it's not because of the form, although it is not that bad but rather
because McCoy is riding him and nearly every time this has happened he has won!
Plus the fact the horse appears to be a better at Hurdels than chase and he has
one other B and C class races where some of his main rivals have not.
I am not sure if he will win but has to be a good each-way bet at 7/1.
What do you think?
Have a good days racing.
