Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
So we have talked about protecting our bank but what do
we need to do to grow it?
Well apart from the obvious of actually
building our bank from our winnings, we can also speed up the process by using
what we have, to the best effect.
If you look at making money as a long
term goal rather than a short term fix, then you are more likely to put in to
action a plan that will work.
The easiest way to increase your
bank quicker is to tie your stakes into your current bank. So if you start with
a bank of £200 then you could use 1% of it as your stake.
In this
case your first stake would be £2.0 and if you carried on using 1% of
your bank everytime the bank increased then you will be winning that little bit
more each time.
You don't have to change your stake everytime your bank
increases especially when you are trying to build a bank that will give you an
extra cushion in case something does go wrong, you could change your stake at
the start of each week or month.
My feelings have always been that 0.5%
of your bank is a much safer to use but I know many people just don't have a
bank to allow a stake this low, but I often use it especially when I am trying
to build up a bank that will last a long time with a system I have a feeling
may have a bad day.
It does mean the bank will grow slower but then
often this bank is used to make me more money than it would putting it in a
bank or building society although I often will move a % of my winnings at
certain stages into a normal building society account, this way I am building
up my savings as well, which is very important to me.
Graham mentioned
in his email that he takes some of his profit out to spend, which is another
good idea, because at least you can prove to yourself (and the ones around you)
that all the work you are putting in to make money is worth it.
Ok this
doesn't grow your bank but I think if you put in to your plans that you will
divert a certain amount of your profit to other things, then it will feel like
you are doing all for a good reason.
