Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I had a lot of problems with the Internet yesterday and
only managed to get a snapshot of John's Bulletin tips (10) because that was
running on my home machine. I missed the Greyhound system completely but
judging by the results we should have had a winning day.
So again I
apologies if you have had to wait for an answer to an email from me, I think I
have just about caught up now.
What a great win on the Millionaire's Row
(9) selection yesterday. That got back our losses from the last couple of days
and some more. My friend was using a staking plan, so you can imagine how happy
he was yesterday.
A good start to the new nap as well with a 9/4 win, I
am going to use a staking plan with this one so you can see the effects,
although I am hoping there wont be too many losers.
Actually the price
ended up a lot better than we thought it would yesterday. We were expecting it
to drop to below evens as these tips often do, but for some reason Wingman
became the favourite at 4/7 which made Santando very good value. With a 9
length commanding win, this showed what a good selection he was.
Still I
shouldn't make to much of a big deal of it at this early stage in the trial. I
will post you some results we have had over the last few weeks very
soon.
I will probably start a live bank test in the next week or so to
see what prices we can actually get. I like backing in the morning because
although it doesn't always work it does appear sometimes you can get some
better prices on favourites than you may get nearer the off.
I know
Betfair say 20% better odds than at the bookies we know this is not always the
case on favourites, their prices are much more likely to be in line with what
is happening on the high street.
I can actually see a case with the
Millionaire's Row (9) nap selection where you hold part of your bank on betfair
and another part at an on-line bookies and see if you could make a little more
by watching the prices between the two, don't forget getting a little more
profit here and there makes a lot of difference over the year.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*) are
from the original and tighter system, I am not using these now.
You can see
all the results since the 14th (when I introduced the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.

10. John's Bullitin lay tips - Lay
Selections started 12/01/2007
These are New selections from John at
Luv2Lose. John takes the prices of the selections 30 seconds before the race
and the lay price must be between 2.1 and 3.9, at this time to qualify. The
idea here is to Stop at the first winner (or loser in this case as we are
laying).
John also has a couple of other staking ideas which I will tell you
