Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I almost forgot to remind you that there will be no email
tomorrow as we have an early hospital appointment, so the next time you will
hear from me is on Monday.
I added the new Beta version of the latest
Grey Horse Bot to
the subscribers part of the forum yesterday. Apart from the latest updates we
also added a neat little cosmetic upgrade that now allows you to change the
colour scheme and the look of the Grey Horse bot.
So from now on when
you see screen shots you will notice I am using different colours for bots that
are running different scenario's.
Yesterday I ran the (RSA) test again
and here are the results.

I
did make one mistake I set the bot off Backing first of all, but you can see
that if you reversed the 2 first selections to lays the profit would still have
been about the same.
I set the Grey Horse bot to lay all (RSA)
Favourites between 1.00 and 4.00, 60 seconds before the off.
Backing
(yesterday I said "laying" but the screen shot clearly showed they were backs)
the favourite in UK 3 place races, this didn't work on favourites so yesterday
I set the Grey Horse bot up to back the best priced horse (it always takes the
best price) between 2.00 and 3.00, here is what happened.

This
doesn't tell the whole story, at one time I was nearly £10.00 up but then
things then went really bad. So from today I am going to do the same thing but
set the bot to stop, once I am in profit.
Another bad night on (US)
races. I am laying the favourite between 1.00 and 4.00 and this is not working
out, although I do have it on good authority that it should.

Tonight I am
going to change tact and back the favourite between 1 and 3.00 and have a stop
profit set of around 6.00 to see if I can get some of the losses back.
I
will let you know what happens on Monday.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*)
are from the original and tighter system, I am not using these
now.
You can see all the results since the 14th (when I introduced
the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.
