Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
What is it about UK sports
people? To me they are so frustrating to watch. One moment they are showing
that they are just about the best in the world, the next minute they do things
that you just want to cringe at. It doesn't seem to matter if it is Cricket,
Golf, Football or even Tennis there is always a team or person that we get
behind only to rewarded with, in my opinion, pretty bad performances.
I got up at 4.30 am to see the
weekends F1 GP only to watch Hamilton make some decisions which were very
strange. I am getting a feeling we are going to see a repeat of last years
final few races, where Hamilton and the team just handed the world championship
to Ferrari! To be quite honest I am starting to lose faith in the whole F1
circus, some of the penalties and lack of them are so inconsistent and in some
cases absolutely stupid (in my opinion), that it seems the championship is
going to be won this way.
Ok now I have got that off my
chest...lol
We are just about to go in to the NH (National Hunt) season
and if you are a regular reader, you will know that I always tell you to be
cautious this time of year because any form, will be based either on last year
or runners changing from flat to jump and neither can be relied on.
The
problem is a little more magnified now days because it used to be that the
split from flat racing to jumps was clear cut. But now days there seems to be
jump races throughout the season, so there will be mixtures of fresh runners
and those that have been running through the flat season.
To be it is
still clear cut though, don't bet on races where most of the runners have not
run within the last 60 days which is always a good rule of thumb
anyway.

There is only one rule: If the NR
reduction factor is 10% or more (check the "Rules" tab to the left of the
market) on the market then it is a "No bet". Because of this, it is obviously
better to bet nearer the off.
