Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I hope you had a good weekend. Well I worked hard on the
garden over the weekend, trying to get ready to put my new pond in., which also
means digging quite a big hole.
------------------ I have had
another win with
Fancy
Fillies on Friday. ------------------ Brian and Graham's win tip
came in 1st yesterday at a reasonable price as well although there were a
couple of NR's so evens was probably more likely and not the earlier price of
2.86. 1515 Lingfield SNAKES HEAD 3.95 Betfair 4th 9/4 Here
are today's 1500 Wolverhampton, Annambo, currently Betfair price 1.65
------------- Carrying on from last week when we talked about your mind
set , planning is another area that you should try to get good at by recording
your selections and results.
The normal things people record are the
time of the race, horse, course, result and SP/Betfair price, but this is the
minimal.
To build up a better picture you should record number of
runners, NR's, going, winner, you get the idea the more the better.
It's
quite interesting to build up a picture like this as you may find that there
are certain things that start to stick out, which will help you improve your
results by avoiding races that give you a higher chance of losing.
I
always find my most successful systems are the ones that I have made the
biggest effort to record the results and any relevant
information.
Another area you should be careful of is the change in
seasons from Flat to Jump or Jump to Flat. Just because a system works well on
one type of racing does not mean it will work on the other. My own
lay betting
system has a version for each type of racing because of that simple
fact.
Also a system that may work on grass does not mean it will work on
AW or of course the other way around.
I am always wary of systems that
do not make adjustments from one type of racing to another if you don't test
you are asking for trouble.
More
tomorrow.
-----------------
Last week I told you about a new
system David and I had been working on called "Triple Treat".
This is a
system you definitely need patience with because we only get about 15 selection
a month but so far they have been showing great results.
We have one for
today.
14.15 Strat: Hot Zone
1. Back the above selection as a
Nap to win.
2. As near to the off as possible check at Betfair who is
the next shortest horse in betting and Lay it.
3. Take both the above
selections and back 40% of your normal stake on the named favourite to win and
60% Lay on the next shortest priced runner.
Please note: No lay if Hot
Zone is a NR.
Remember though we are testing still so you only need to
watch! ---------------- 2. Guest Selection - 19-04-2007
I have been receiving some win tips from a good friend of mine called
Shaun. There are two selections Best and Next best. You can look at
best only or follow both. Shaun suggest that you aim to make 5% of your bank a
day and he chases any losses onto the next selection. I am going to
start with a £500 bank. What you do then is take 5% of your bank, in
this case £25.00 and then divide it by the available odds and that's your
stake. So if the odds were 2/1 then I would divide £25 by 2 making a
£12.50 stake. If I then lost I would take the £12.50 already
lost and add it to my next stake that is again 5% of my bank and then divide
this new figure by the available odds. Shaun sends the tips out as
well on Saturday, so join his private list here.
