Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
That was a nice win on "Nags to Riches" yesterday especially at an
sp of 9/4, the average Betfair price was 3.28. Since testing we have
an average price of around 8.

We are still looking very healthy from a level staking point of view
and at the moment there is no need for any staking plan, although I
do prefer them myself and I am probably going to use a 3 or 4 split
to get any losses back.
Roy's staking plan has some good ideas along these lines and is
certainly worth reading if you are considering using a staking plan
with lay bets.
I will probably add "Nag's to Riches" to what I call my "investment
system".
These are systems I am not aggressive with and only put .5 to 1% of
my bank on (unless I use a claw back staking plan). I aim for a growth
of around 100% of the yearly start bank but to be honest as long as it
grows quicker then a building society then I am happy.
The trick with this sort of system is to look long term and just except
you will probably have a few losers along the line but unless things go
horribly wrong then over a period of a year you should be doing very
well.
I think this is the biggest problem with any form of betting and that is
people look short term and because of that they make bad and rash
decisions.
Here are some pointers to watch out for.
1. Betting on a system / Tips without paper testing and not looking at
how loses will effect your bank.
2. Jumping from one system/tips to another especially after a couple of
losers.
3. Using to big a stake to the size of your bank.
4. Make hasty decisions after a loser just to make profit for the day.
5. Judging system/tips after just a couple of days of using them.
Does this ring any bells?
