5 Meetings today Beverley, Chepstow, Haydock, Salisbury and Sandown.
Even I have days that I regret.
I took a big chance yesterday and put a lay bet on Juantorena, this is
a little out of character for me because I don't often bet against a
horse that is so well tipped!
But the horse was trading at 1.43 and I just had a gut feeling about
his chances (again not something I usually rely on).
It was a pleasant surprise when the horse came in 3rd, but it just goes to
show how wrong you can be about the form of a horse.
After such a good win, I normally stop for the day, I like to make a
certain amount of money and once (or if) that figure is achieved
I quit.
But yesterday I had such a good win so early in the day, that I felt
like taking a chance on another bet!
I should know better, it's a lesson I learned a long time ago...
After 4 lost bets, I spent the rest of the day trying to get back
to my original bank...What a waste of a good early win.
It appears I still haven't learned that very important rule.
