Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
I did tell you I disliked big meetings and I was totally
wrong with all my selections. I am not going to embarrass myself anymore, so if
you are watching Cheltenham then have fun, but I am afraid today it has been
abandoned.

I mentioned yesterday we have found a
possible link in the losers we had with the new lay system we have been
trying.

Looking
at January we had about 83 selections and if we used the new filter we would
lose 20 of the selections, but it still seems we would have at least one
selection a day, which is what we really want.
We could also identify
these races and decide to put a smaller stake on because the higher than normal
chance of losing, this will keep our selections at the higher number. We still
need to look at all the results to see the overall impact but my own feelings
are just take them out and done with it.
I have been thinking that these
tips will be a good replacement for the
Almost Certain
Lay nap selections. The odds tend to be lower and you can have more than
one a day which would mean you could choose your maximum odds limit and still
probably get a bet most days.

I hate to mention it
but I have also been playing around with another Greyhound "lay" system. I was
actually trying to find a good backing system (still looking) but came across
this idea that seems to be working well.
Up to now I have just been
checking the results, but today I am going to start checking prices and see
what happens if I lay at level stakes. I actually want to run this as a "stop
at a profit" system or just "stop at a winner" but I need to do a lot more work
over the next few weeks to get an idea of win/loss ratio.
I am only
running the system during the day up to 5.30 and ignoring any races after this.

I have a couple of
guest selections lined up for you.

I have come up with a system using the racing post forecast favourites. In a
nutshell this is done by comparing the forecast favourite with the other
runners and trying to find at least two other runners that have a good chance
of beating the forecast favourite. I am not just looking at negative factors
for the favourite but comparing these factors against the other runners. The
races I select need to have 7 runners or more for the sake of probability and
are usually hcps. "
