Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Betfair is down this
morning and there are only two meetings so not a great start to the
week.
By the way none of the Bot's will run why betfair are updating the
site.
I couldn't get the Greyhound session information out on Saturday
because the site I use for some specific information had a problem and as I
only have a limited working window in the morning, I couldn't wait around to
see if the error was corrected.
Friday didn't go well for level stakes
but again it was fine for the "rule of 3".
Because Betfair is down until
midday there will be no session.xml today either.
I didn't get a
screenshot of the place market on Friday and as I can not access my betfair
account I can not tell you exactly how it went, but I remember I was in
profit.
I have been receiving plenty of emails about backing, placing
and laying the overseas markets and I will be trying some of these over the
next couple of weeks. I have been told that if you time your lay bets on the US
market correctly and lay every one from the start of the racing to midnight you
should make around 70% profit. I haven't tried this myself yet because it does
involve getting the price range correct and the runner that you bet
on.
I will let you know more as clarify the selection process. I have to
have thank Elaine for this information, she sends me some great
ideas.
We have been running lay's from Thomas in the Guest Selection (2)
for sometime now. He has been working on a piece of software that users of his
selections will be able to use to automatically place the daily
selections.
I will be testing this very soon and once it has full
Betfair API approval it will be available for users of his selections, which
will be available through subscription soon.
We will be losing a few of
the normal selections this month but they will be replaced by new ideas and
selections as we continue to explore ways to make money from betting, laying
and trading.

8. Greyhound Selections- Lay System
started 07/11/2006.
After playing around with selections I have
decided that for the time being this is going to be a lay only test. I think I
have worked out a system that will give us quite good prices but I suspect
there will have to be a maximum lay price set. I am just not sure what that
will be but I am testing between 2.00 and 7.00. I will make every effort to
record betfair lay prices as well. The ones marked with an asterisks (*)
are from the original and tighter system, I am not using these
now.
You can see all the results since the 14th (when I introduced
the latest selection method)
here. I am now using what I call the "rule of 3", this means
we go for 3 wins and use a 3 race scratch back to get back any
losses.
