Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Thanks for letting me blow of steam yesterday and
thank-you for all the e-mails of support.
Actually what I was really
happy to see was e-mails like this.
"I got an idea for a lay system
using some selection advice you gave in one of your e-mails which backed up
something I had already noticed myself......
I decided to do a 3 month
paper test to produce a genuine set of results
over a good amount of time
before i actually used any money on it but its looking good at the
moment.....
So far its paper tested to a profit of £4234.47 in 57
days using a lay stake of £10 per lay...
The system has
produced only 10 losing days in the 57 days I've been testing it and most
losing days were only small losses! i think the losing days could be a lot less
with some system tweaking.

Both of these e-mails
represent what I am trying to achieve from my daily email. On the one hand to
give ideas that you can use and adapt and on the other hand, just to show there
is someone who is willing to spend time every morning to give you something to
read.

know I don't like these big meetings and the last one we had I didn't do to
well!
As I don't mind getting egg on my face and having a bit of fun I
am going to do a fantasy lay on Falmouth Stakes at
3.10.

We ran quite a long test in
this email on the Millionairs selection before my friend took them
live.
The selections have been doing very well but Dave rang me
yesterday because he was quite excited about another selection method he has
been working on where you back and lay two runners in the same race.
Now
this is nothing new for the Millionaire service as two of the tips use this
method but they don't always produce selections and when they do they normally
only have 1 or 2.
This new selection method Dave has come up with tends
to have selections everyday and a few of them.
Here are today's.
2.55
Catt: Cocnut Queen - Rann Na Cille
3.10 Newm: Nannina - Simply Perfect
3.30 Catt: Falpiase - Inchnadamph
The first selection we back and
the second selection we lay and at the moment we are working on the ration
40/60 so if you were using a £10 stake then the back bet you would put
£4 on and the lay £6.
Now I am not suggesting for one moment
that you go and bet, but I would like to show you the selections for a while so
you can see how they do.
Dave has been making £30 to £50 a
day since he has been using them but even he admits it is early
days.

Sorry I didn't mention dutching yesterday but
after another loss on Monday I am trying to re-think my strategy.
One of
the readers of this email sent me some interesting points about dutching and
although I have yet to confirm I can re print them here he did say at the
bottom of the email...
"I'm still refining this but I am sure that people
can use an adapt it for a profit."
So I am taking the chance that he
doesn't mind sharing, but in order to protect myself a little I am only going
to print half the list today.
1. Know how to select your race. many
races are totally unsuitable for dutching and it is difficult to know for sure
until just before the off. Don't pick races with over 16 runners or with short
price or joint favs.
2. Usually typical races are handicaps with
between 10 and 16 runners with a favourite at 5-2 or greater. Remember, the
skill is to delete the horses that can't win and identify the value bets from
the remaining horses.
3. If the favourite is a reasonable price it can
be included in the dutch but usually only as a break even/saver bet.
4. There is a temptation to take the easy option and use the first three or for
in the betting but better returns can be achieved by selecting horses that have
good trainer and jockey form at the meeting or at all meetings. Be flexible and
willing to dutch between 2 and 5 horses but always ensure that each gives a
break even or profit situation. Don't chase your losses but look for a long
term result.
2. Guest Selection - 19-04-2007
I have been
receiving some win tips from a good friend of mine called Shaun.
There
are two selections Best and Next best. You can look at best only or follow
both. Shaun suggest that you aim to make 5% of your bank a day and he chases
any losses onto the next selection.
I am going to start with a
£500 bank.
What you do then is take 5% of your bank, in this case
£25.00 and then divide it by the available odds and that's your
stake.
So if the odds were 2/1 then I would divide £25 by 2 making a
£12.50 stake.
If I then lost I would take the £25 already lost
and add it to my next stake that is again 5% of my bank and then divide this
new figure by the available odds.
