Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Sorry about yesterday. Something was wrong
with our electric's so had to get an emergency electrician out. I think I may
well retrain as one considering what they charge!
Another weekend and
I have plenty to do around the house so I will not be going anywhere.

I have had another two winners in a row with
Fancy
Fillies so after my loss in Tuesday I am back in profit.

Brian and Graham's win tip came in 1st yesterday at a
reasonable price as well although there were a couple of NR's so evens was
probably more likely and not the earlier price of 2.86.

On Wednesday I started
talking about betting habits and getting your mind correct before you start and
how you should take a good look at "The Deadly Sins of Gambling".
So once you have got
the physiological side of the game sorted out what next?
Well the
biggest thing that worries me is that people seem to come along and jump
straight in head first getting as many bets as they can only to find out they
soon get hit quite bad financially because they were not ready to lose.
The good thing about betting is that there are plenty of opportunities to
bet which means the bad thing is there are plenty of opportunities to lose as
well!
My suggestion is to take it easy.
I actually have
several systems that may produce only 1 bet a week and although this may be an
extreme, it means I have to have the patience to deal with just one every so
often.
I think when you start out and before you can be sure you have
learned the trade you should stick with a maximum of one selection a day.
Use a couple of months to analyze the selections , look at staking plans,
find the best bank plan etc, and then move on.
One of my real pet
hates is when people to not give and idea or system time to work and give up on
the first hurdle or loss, I see this time and time again. I am not saying every
system out there is any good because I know there are many that are not, but at
the same time there are plenty that will work if they are given chance.
As you know I have been following the
Fancy
Fillies selections the last couple of weeks and I think they are working
out well at the moment, but during this time I am working out how these
selection should be handles as far as % of my bank, stop loss, staking
etc.
You should never follow blindly the suggestions of the
tipster/system you have to do your own research this will save you getting a
nasty surprise later.

2. Guest Selection -

I have been receiving some win tips from a good friend of mine
called Shaun.
There are two selections Best and Next best. You can
look at best only or follow both. Shaun suggest that you aim to make 5% of your
bank a day and he chases any losses onto the next selection.
I am
going to start with a £500 bank.
What you do then is take 5% of your
bank, in this case £25.00 and then divide it by the available odds and
that's your stake.
So if the odds were 2/1 then I would divide £25 by
2 making a £12.50 stake.
If I then lost I would take the £12.50
already lost and add it to my next stake that is again 5% of my bank and then
divide this new figure by the available odds.
