Todays ramblings
Good morning, I hope you had a good bank holiday, the weather was good
for us although I know everyone wasn't so lucky!
This is a little early today, but I have a lot to do after a few days
off.
The bank holiday also saw the launch of the flat season, so for the
next few weeks we are in "No man's land" as we find out if last years
winners are as good this year, or if good AW and Jump form can be turned
into good flat form as well.
I am looking forward to using my flat lay system again and I also have
some ideas on using the AW system on the flat.
The word for the next few weeks has got to be caution though, and I
would advise limiting your bank exposure, until we see the form settle
down.
Many tipsters prefer the flat because unlike jumps (where horses can
fall) and AW (front runners kick sand behind) there is less
to go wrong, so form should count for more.
The statistics do not exactly back this up and although clear favourites
on the flat do appear to fare a little better than jump favourites, the
last 14 years show 33% to the flat compared to 31% jumps so it is not
exactly a big difference.
