Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Yesterday we were talking about the new lay system that
David and I have been working on.

remember this is a test!
You may have noticed that the prices did go out
and because I wait until 5 min before the "off" so I can watch for NR'S before
placing my bets, the prices I managed were...

"no bet" rule if the reduction factor from any NR is 10% or over. If you do

Anyone new to betting would probably think that the secret
to success is to find a source of winning selections. Be that a tipster, a
system or software. And of course we know that that is necessary.
But
the biggest secret to success in my opinion is to have the correct mindset. I
would suggest that there are a lot more winning systems and strategies out
there than most bettors believe.
The trouble is that even the winning
ones have losing spells and most of us have a low tolerance to losing money
especially when the losing spell goes on for longer than usual.
This
subject was dealt with in detail recently by pro gambler Michael Wilding who
write our 'So you want to be a professional' . Michael coined the phrase
Emotional Reaction to Losing (ERL) and went on to talk about ways to cope with
ERL and strategies to overcome it.
The biggest secret to dealing with
ERL is to know what is your worst case scenario and to prepare for it mentally
and financially. It can take a lot of talking to yourself to get through these
spells and it can be very stressful but once you can deal with a losing spell
and keep a level head you have pretty much made it.
