Yesterdays Results
Sualda (Miracle System) came 1st, Samson Des Galas (best lay of
the day) came 9th!
Todays ramblings
Good Morning.
Yesterday's "Nag to riches" was trading so high at around 20 I decided
to stick my neck out and put the second best selection in the forum
as well.
It was close but still came in second at a far better price of 11/4.

Still that was a strange price for Limited Magician considering he
was favourite in the RacingPost!
It sometimes interesting to see the difference in prices especially
between SP and the lay price.

Odds On: + 9.5%
Evens to < 2/1: + 11.0%
2/1 to < 5/1: + 14.5%
5/1 to < 10/1: + 19.7%
10/1 < 20/1: + 37.3%
20/1 to < 50/1: + 50.0%
50/1 +: + 100.0%
As you can see there can be big differences between the advertised sp
and the actual price you will get on the exchanges, this is even worse
on Greyhounds!
On some of my services I actually record the average Lay price of the
selections during the day so that at it is a fair representation of
the selections (I have software to do this).

I must admit I haven't had chance to implement this everywhere but it
is something I am working on.
But this is certainly something you want to be aware of when deciding
to buy a system or use a service.
The SP has to be shown with results becuase it is the only figure that
can proved, so you can not blame a service provider for using them, it
is your job to look at the prices on show and then try to work out what
the probable lay price would have been and then see if this falls within
your comfort level and also how that pricing would effect the overall
results shown.
Remember it's not always about winners and losers it is more about
looking at the mix and prices, and deciding if you can make a profit.
Will you be able to do it at level stakes or will you need a staking
plan?
What size bank you are likely to need?
Are you looking at longer term profit?
Not always easy questions to ask but if you can answer most them at
least you can begin to decide if the tips or system is for you.

As at 8 o'clock this morning the following horses were identified as

Exercise caution at odds over 2.8 or where non-runner's have left les
than 5 runner's in a race.
